TerraLux expanding in Longmont

LONGMONT — LED-lighting manufacturer Terralux Inc. plans to increase its space by roughly 50 percent at its existing location at 1830 Lefthand Circle in Longmont in the near future.

The company, led by president and chief executive Steve Hane, will expand from 15,200 square feet to 22,733 square feet. The added space will be used for laboratories, production and office space to accommodate anticipated growth. The company currently has 43 employees.

Terralux’s Mike Colby, vice president of operations, told the Longmont Area Economic Council that the company “decided to stay in Longmont to grow because it was less disruptive during this critical growth period; and it was the best location, as most of our employees live close to Longmont.”

Earlier this year, Terralux raised an $11 million round of funding led by EnerTech Capital. The money is being used to bolster sales growth and development of the portfolio of LED products and LEDSENSE cloud-based technology.
