Survey: Kaiser Permanente ranks No. 1 in health promotion

Kaiser Permanente Colorado is rated No. 1 in the nation for best performance in prevention and health promotion, according to a survey of employers released by the nonprofit National Business Coalition on Health.

The nonprofit’s 2013 eValue8 survey is an annual health care accountability and quality improvement assessment used by employers to manage the quality and efficiency of America’s health plans.

The Colorado Business Group on Health, an organization that educates businesses on health care, is one of several statewide coalitions to participate in the project.

EValue8 ranks health plans based on results from a national survey of health plans. Kaiser Permanente Colorado received the top score in the nation in Prevention and Health promotion, which includes the following:

· Cancer screenings
· Immunization programs
· Tobacco cessation
· Weight management
· Obstetrics
· Health promotion, worksite wellness and health assessments
