Stretch of I-25 reopened; MAX meetings canceled

Interstate 25 between Wellington and the Wyoming border has reopened in both directions after closing for several hours Monday.

Adverse road conditions and multiple automobile crashes led authorities to close the stretch of Interstate 25 shortly after 9 a.m. Monday’s Transfort outreach events in Fort Collins also were canceled.

The interstate reopened shortly after 1 p.m., said Amy Ford, spokeswoman for  the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The rest of the week’s events will take place as scheduled as long as weather permits, according to the city of Fort Collins. The events are meant to show the public the new MAX buses and to inform people about bus routes changes scheduled to occur in May.
