Stretch of I-25 re-opened

FORT COLLINS – The Colorado Department of Transportation said Friday that it has reopened both directions of Interstate 25 in Northern Colorado south of Harmony Road in Fort Collins.

The interstate remains closed between Wyoming and Harmony for southbound motorists, and remains closed northbound between Harmony and Colorado 14. There is no estimated time of reopening for the final section of highway, which is still being threatened by flood waters.

Motorists traveling between Denver and Wyoming are asked to use the following detours:

> Northbound from Denver to Wyoming: I-25 north to U.S. 34, east to U.S. 85, north to Colorado 14, west to I-25.

> Southbound from Wyoming to Denver: U.S. 85 south to U.S. 34, west to I-25.

Many highways and bridges will remain closed as a precaution until crews can evaluate whether they are safe. The following roads are closed to traffic in both directions unless noted:

>  I-25 northbound, southbound ramps to Colorado 119

> U.S. 34 between Glade Road and Estes Park

> U.S. 34 from milemarker 114 to milemarker 117.25 east of Greeley

> U.S. 36 between Boulder and Estes Park

> U.S. 85 from 42nd in Evans to County Road 44 in LaSalle

> U.S. 85 southbound at Wyoming for commercial vehicles

> U.S. 85 from 37th Street to County Road 49 in Greeley

> U.S. 287 at Big Thompson River in Loveland from Colorado 402 to Fifth Street

> U.S. 287 in Fort Collins from milemarker 347 to milemarker 348

> U.S. 287 from milemarker 307 to milemarker 310

> U.S. 287 southbound at Wyoming for commercial vehicles

> Colorado 7 between Lyons and Estes Park

> Colorado 14 between Ted’s Place and Walden

> Colorado 392 from I-25 east to 17th Street in Windsor
