State gives $3.1 million for bioscience groups
The money will be directed to drug discovery and new bioscience businesses, according to the state Office of Economic Development and International Trade.

> Colorado Center for Drug Discovery, $750,000;
> The Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus, $410,000;
> The BioFrontiers Institute at the University of Colorado at Boulder, $625,000.
The grant program was created by the Colorado Legislature to foster development of the state’s bioscience industry.
