Source to supply food to 3 Aspen eateries

BROOMFIELD – Source Local Foods has landed a contract to provide locally produced food products to three restaurants owned by Aspen Skiing Co.

Source Local Foods will provide products to the new Elk Camp restaurant in Aspen, and chefs at The Little Nell and Cloud Nine also will participate in the local sourcing program.

Source Local Foods, launched in 2011, partners with local farmers, ranchers and food manufacturers to provide locally grown foods. It maintains an administrative office, and a distribution and storage warehouse in Broomfield.

“We are thrilled to be working with chef Andrew Helsley and his team at Aspen Skiing Co.,´ said Aaron Perry, chief executive of Source Local Foods. “We’re committed to building sustainable food systems and providing amazing, nutritious local food, which is also a high priority for the Aspen team.”

Source is also partnered with organizations such as Colorado Proud, the Colorado Chef’s Association and the Colorado Restaurant Association.
