Seattle sports retailer breaking into Denver market
The circle of business life goes on. Just months after Englewood-based Sports Authority closed all of its stores for good, a sporting goods retailer based in Seattle is setting up shop in Denver.
The Denver Post reports that evo, which is focused on outdoor and action sports, plans to open a 9,000-square-foot store at 860 Broadway this fall. The company bought local shop Bicycle Doctor/Edgeworks earlier this year, and the paper notes that that business’s employees will continue to work on bikes, skis and snowboards as part of the evo offerings.
