Year to date, Sales- and use-tax collections are up 4.9 percent. Retail sales tax is up 6.2 percent, construction use tax is down 12.1 percent, and motor vehicle use tax is up 8.5 percent.
For the year, retail sales tax makes up 79.4 percent of the collections, followed by business use tax, 9.4 percent; Construction sales and use tax, 8.4 percent; and Motor vehicle use tax, 2.8 percent.
