Regus offers co-working space for Earth Day

BOULDER – Shared office space provider Regus, which opened a location in downtown Boulder earlier this month, is opening all of its business lounges for free on Earth Day, Tuesday, April 22, to help workers cut down on their commutes.

The idea is for workers who live closer to a Regus location than their own workplace, they can work at Regus for the day to reduce their personal carbon footprint and save money and time.

The company has a commute calculator that can show commuters how much time, carbon and money they would save by working at the nearest Regus location.

Regus, with its United States headquarters in Dallas, has 16 locations in the Denver metro area, including Boulder and Broomfield. The Boulder location opened April 7 at 1434 Spruce St. The Broomfield location is at 12303 Airport Way, Suite 200.

John Carey, Regus market director in Denver, said the Boulder location is about 30 percent occupied so far, and is getting two to three new members each day for its membership-based Business World drop-in option.

“It’s a lot more than we thought,” Carey said.

Carey said Regus plans to expand to the Fort Collins and Loveland area within the year.

“We’ve just got to find the right location,” Carey said.
