Realtor groups offer grants for flood recovery

The Colorado Association of REALTORS has joined forces with the National Association of REALTORS Relief Foundation to offer financial grants to Colorado flood victims.

Assistance is available to qualified applicants towards one of the following options:

1) Monthly mortgage expense for the primary residence that was damaged Colorado flooding;

2) Cost of temporary shelter due to displacement from the primary residence resulting from the floods.

Relief assistance is limited to $1,500 per applicant and one grant per residence. Applications will be accepted beginning Nov. 1 through Jan. 31. The application form and additional details are available here.

The National Association of REALTORS Relief Foundation will donate up to $100,000, matching the Colorado Association of Realtors contribution of $50,000 plus additional donations received for flood victims. Distribution of funds will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

The National Association of REALTORS Relief Foundation is dedicated to providing housing-related assistance to victims of disasters. The Colorado Association of REALTORS is the state’s largest real estate trade association, representing more than 19,500 members statewide.
