PVHS to begin using new radiosurgery technology
TrueBeam allows for significantly faster, more precise image-guided technology. Two patients were to be treated for prostate cancer Tuesday at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins using the new technology.
TrueBeam was recently installed at PVHS’ Harmony Campus as part of a $7.1 million expansion of its radiation oncology department. The treatment can be used on any type of cancer anywhere in the body, and can treat more advanced and complicated cancers than other treatments.
