PVHS awarded performance excellence award

FORT COLLINS – Poudre Valley Health System, now part of University of Colorado Health, is one of six recipients of the 2012 Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence awards.

PVHS earned the Peak Level award, the top honor from Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence, formerly called Colorado Performance Excellence.

The organization is a regional program that guides companies through the application of principles embodied in the Malcom Baldrige National Quality Award.

This is the third time that PVHS has received the award. The honor was also achieved in 2004 and 2008, according to a release from Rocky Mountain Performance Excellence.

Receiving this award at the regional level can be a stepping stone to the national Baldrige Award.

Denver Health was also recognized at the Peak Level. All recipients will be honored at the 2012 Quest for Excellence Conference in Loveland later this month.
