Philo ClubWomen’s hosts Amatuer Golf Tournament

Philo Club of Loveland has been serving the community since 1918. “Philo,” short for Philomatheon Club, is one of the oldest service clubs in Loveland.

Founded by high school students, the club was organized as a way for young women to come together in friendship and service to the community.

The women’s organization sponsors Alternatives to Violence, Canned Food Drive, Food Baskets, quarterly Blood Drives, Integrated Early Childhood, and the Community College & Technical Scholarships.

The annual golf tournament proceeds benefit the scholarship program. In all, $85,000 has been awarded to 58 recipients since the start of the tournament in 2005.
