FORT COLLINS — Plans to renovate and expand Pedersen Toyota in Fort Collins are moving forward, with public hearings slated for this fall.
Owner Pedersen Properties LTD is proposing to expand its auto dealership at 4455 S. College Ave. on about five acres of land.
The project consists of renovating the existing 27,700-square-foot main dealership building to reflect Toyota’s new branding image.

The expansion will include the construction of a 7,000-square-foot service center with drive-throughs and bays on the west side of the dealership, a ground-level parking garage for inventory, two attached retail buildings (1,800 square feet and 3,700 square feet), and a one-story building for washing and detailing cars.
In the future, Pedersen may add more parking garages and service bays on the north side of the dealership, said Rodney Rogers, chief estimator for Fort Collins-based Heath Construction LLC, which is leading the project for the Pedersens.
The cost of the project has not been released.
A public hearing is expected to occur in September or October, said Angie Milewski of BHA Design in Fort Collins. BHA Design is the site planner and landscape architect for the project. The building architect is Denver-based Architectural Workshop led by Mark Bowers.
