Parent company of Ugg, Teva moving Arizona call center to Broomfield

BROOMFIELD — Goleta, Calif.-based Deckers Brands — which owns several footwear brands, including Ugg and Teva — will later this summer move a call center from Flagstaff, Ariz., to Broomfield, where it could eventually employ as many as 250 people on a seasonal basis.

The company is working on finalizing a lease for space at 11525 Main St., and company spokeswoman Mary Oeffling said the plan is to make the move in August.

Deckers is planning a job fair for July 12 and 13 at 8300 Arista Place in Broomfield. Recruiting manager Julie Franzman said that fair will be focused primarily on hiring for 30 core leadership and call representative positions for the Broomfield site. She said the company will work with a local temp agency to start bringing more employees onboard in September.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

The company expects to ramp up to as many as 150 full-time and temporary employees this fall for its peak holiday season. The Broomfield call center will focus mainly on answering questions and filling the needs of end consumers.

Franzman said the company isn’t disclosing the pay range for the call-center jobs but said, “It’s pretty competitive for what we’re seeing for the market for call center representatives.”

Deckers’ brand portfolio also includes Sanuk, Ahnu, Hoka One One and Koolaburra.

Oeffling said the decision to move the call center came in part because of the growth in the company’s e-commerce business and the feeling that the Denver area “has greater resources to flex this team in support of our peak season call/contact volume.”

“Deckers is really excited to become part of the Broomfield community,” Oeffling said.

Deckers did not receive incentives from the state of Colorado or the city of Broomfield to make the move.

The upcoming job fair will take place from noon to 5 p.m., July 12, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., July 13. More information can be found at www.deckers.com/careers.
