BANKING, FINANCE

Robert W. Eichem, chief financial officer for the city of Boulder, was elected as president-elect of the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. Eichem has served on the association’s executive board since 2010.

BIOSCIENCE

Boulder-based AmideBio LLC appointed Gilad Gordon to its scientific advisory board. AmideBio has developed manufacturing processes for peptides and proteins. Gordon has more than 20 years of scientific expertise in private industry and academia, including his current position as clinical associate professor of medicine at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and principal at the ORRA Medical Consulting Group. Gordon’s career spans the fields of diabetes, oncology, vaccinology, hepatology and immunology and has published numerous articles on various aspects of the diseases.

Boulder-based Clovis Oncology Inc. (Nasdaq: CLVS) added Ginger Graham and Dr. Keith Flaherty to its board of directors. Graham is president/chief executive of Two Trees Consulting, where she coaches first-time CEOs of public and private companies. Flaherty is an associate professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, associate physician of medicine, hematology/oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital, and director of the Henri and Belinda Termeer Center for Targeted Therapy, Massachusetts General Hospital Cancer Center.

ENGINEERING

Broomfield-based MWH Global Inc., a consulting, environment engineering and construction services firm, promoted 18 employees to vice president—five of which are based in MWH’s office in Broomfield. They are Donald Blackwell, vice president and associate general counsel; Michael R. Harris, vice president and director of operations, east region; Jason Mumm, vice president and director of financial, commercial and risk services; Clint Rivet, vice president and financial controller; and Shannon Rowley, vice president and director of human resources.

HIGH TECH

Broomfield-based Webroot Software Inc. appointed Stan McKee to its board of directors. McKee also will be chairman of Webroot’s audit committee. Until his retirement in 2002, McKee served as executive vice president and chief financial and administrative officer at Electronic Arts Inc., a publicly held company that develops and publishes interactive entertainment.

Boulder-based Rally Software Development Corp. hired Dan Patton as executive vice president of global sales, replacing Don Hazell, who will shift to executive vice president of strategic accounts. Patton has more than 20 years of sales leadership experience in the technology space. Most recently, he served as vice president and general manager of cloud services at Savvis, a provider of IT infrastructure solutions.

Real Goods Solar Inc. (Nasdaq: RSOL) in Louisville appointed company director David L. Belluck as its chairman of the board, replacing Jirka Rysavy. Belluck has been a company director since June 2011. He is a general partner with Riverside Partners, a private equity firm that is the largest shareholder of Real Goods Solar. Rysavy resigned as Real Good’s chairman June 11. Rysavy is the founder of Gaiam Inc., which created Gaiam Energy Tech as its solar division. That company became Real Goods Solar when it went public in 2008. Until recently, Gaiam was the largest shareholder in the company.

The National Renewabale Energy Laboratory in Golden named Bryan J. Hannegan as associate laboratory director for Energy Systems Integration, an area of research and development that addresses challenges of integrating clean energy sources into the national energy infrastructure. Hannegan joins NREL from the nonprofit Electric Power Research Institute where he held several high-level positions since 2006. Most recently, he was vice president for environment and renewable energy, leading a $45 million environmental research program and establishing a new renewable energy division with revenues of $20 million.

HOSPITALITY, RECREATION

Broomfield-based Vail Resorts (NYSE: MTN) appointed Peter Vaughn to its board of directors. Vaughn is senior vice president of international consumer products and marketing for American Express.

LAW

Jamie Rutten and Kate Lewis, attorneys at Donelson Ciancio & Grant in Broomfield, joined the Adams/Broomfield Bar Association’s board of directors for 2013. Rutten is a longtime ABBA board member and will serve as vice president, and Lewis will serve as the ABBA Family Law Section chairwoman. Rutten’s practice focuses on representing individuals in complex child custody disputes and family law appeals. Lewis specializes in high conflict parenting disputes and primarily practices in divorces, separations, allocation of parental responsibility actions, post-decree child support and/or maintenance modifications.

Vaughan

Attorney John Vaughan joined Caplan and Earnest LLC as special counsel to the firm’s business law group. Vaughan’s 14 years of legal experience has focused on representing businesses and other organizations in the business law, corporate governance and real estate arena. He also provides legal help to organizations on transactions, contracts, taxation, and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Vaughan was a shareholder at Donelson Ciancio & Goodwin PC in Broomfield.

NONPROFIT

YMCA of Boulder Valley appointed nine new members to its board of directors. They are Bob Gaddis, Colorado Business Bank; Patrick Haines, Berg, Hill, Greenleaf, Ruscitti LLP; Jeffrey W. Jones, Vail Resorts Inc.; Ross Nicholls, BBVA Compass Bank; Glen Roberts, Hewlett-Packard; Scott Scheifele, University of Colorado; Ted Rich, Vinoy Capital; Von Sheppard, Boulder Valley School District; and Jeffrey Angringa, Robert W. Baird & Co.
