The Women’s Fund of Weld County has added three new members to its board. Rachelle Fisher, broker associate at Sears Real Estate, Dr. Alexia Peake, owner of Peake Wellness Center, and Sarah Berkman, director of corporate and foundation relations for UNC. The Women’s Fund is a component of Greeley’s community foundation, with a focus on women and girls in Weld County.

John Clagett, president, owner and chief wealth advisor at Q4 Wealth Management in Fort Collins, recently earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor designation. The designation, given by the Investment Management Consultants Association, is the only advanced designation designed for financial advisors and consultants who work with high-net-worth clients on the life cycle of wealth.

GOVERNMENT

The Loveland Chamber of Commerce, Engaging Loveland and Corn Roast Festival presenting sponsors announced the selection of Lynn and Norma Hammond as the 2012 Old Fashioned Corn Roast Festival grand marshals. Lynn, who owns Hammond Law Office, has maintained an office in downtown Loveland for more than 50 years and has held numerous community positions such as past president of Larimer County Bar Association; past president of Colorado Municipal Attorney’s Association; and past vice president of the Colorado Bar Association. Norma is a retired physical therapist in cardiac rehabilitation at McKee Medical Center. She has been a longtime member of the Philanthropic and Educational Organization for Women and Rotary and has been recognized as an honorary Rotarian.

INSURANCE

Greg Soden has been appointed executive vice president and is now leading the Brown & Brown office for Northern Colorado. Soden was previously an account executive for Brown & Brown. A graduate of CSU, Soden has been in the insurance business since 1999.

Dan Richmond, an American Family Insurance agent in Fort Collins, has been recognized for outstanding customer experience under the J.D. Power and Associates Distinguished Insurance Agency Program. Only agencies that perform in the top 20 percent of all insurance agencies nationwide based on customer satisfaction surveys are eligible to become a Distinguished Insurance Agency. Richmond has been an agent for American Family since 1986.

MISCELLANEOUS

Mr. Rooter of Northern Colorado announced Alfonso Jimenez as a new owner and president for its franchises of greater Denver and Northern Colorado. Jimenez has more than 20 years of experience as a plumber and contractor, and has assumed ownership and operational responsibilities for the residential and commercial pluming services company.

MEDIA/MARKETING

Burns Marketing Communications added two marketing professionals to its staff. Ben Aaker joined the team as an account executive, working with clients while coordinating projects, and Jerry Blake joined to assist with copywriting and producing. Blake has more than 15 years of digital marketing experience, and has previously worked with HP, Microsoft, Ogilvy and Siemens. Aaker has more than four years of account executive experience, managing ongoing projects for several labs in the United States.

NONPROFIT

Team Fort Collins announced Ashley Nichols Kasprzak as its new executive director. Kasprzak brings more than 20 years of professional experience with nonprofit organizations. She was previously a leader in organizational development and training while at JVA Consulting based in Denver. Early in her career she worked with at-risk youth through the United States Drug Enforcement Agency and Metro Center for the Visual Arts in Denver.

United Way of Weld County, a nonprofit with a focus on education, income and health-related charity, announced new members for their board of directors and the 2012-2013 officers: CJ Archibeque, city of Greeley; Dan Dennie, Banner Health/North Colorado Medical Center; and Becky Safarik, city of Greeley.

REAL ESTATE

The Group Inc. of Northern Colorado announced that Amal Gumbs has joined as a broker associate/partner. Gumbs is a Colorado native and a recent graduate of the Monfort College of Business at UNC where he studied real estate and marketing. While at the university he played football for the UNC Bears.
