WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.
Biggi said on Friday that his first day on the job was Monday, Jan. 26. “I’m excited to market the Northern Colorado region,” he said.
The economic alliance, which will be financed solely by private-sector funding, is still in the process of searching for a chief executive.
Biggi was involved in attracting JBS Carriers Inc.’s headquarters to Greeley. He also helped Noble Energy establish a major presence in Greeley when it built a 66,500-square-foot field operations center in 2012 and then added another 75,300 square feet of buildings to the campus in 2014.
Prior to being the city’s economic development manager, Biggi was the president of the consulting firm The Carta Group LLCz. He was the city of Fort Collins’ special projects manager for 12 years prior to that. He also worked for Larimer County and was involved in developing the county’s first GIS, or geographic information system.
While with Carta, Biggi served as acting director of the Greeley Small Business Development Center in 2007 when it moved its primary hosting location from Aims Community College to the Monfort College of Business on the University of Northern Colorado campus.
