NCMC Inc. donates $250,000 to Aims scholarship fund

GREELEY – The Aims Community College Foundation announced Friday that NCMC Inc. has donated $250,000 to the College Promise Health Care Scholarship Fund.

The College Promise Scholarship fund was launched at Aims in 2007 when local businessman Scott Ehrlich made a leadership gift. Since then, the fund has helped 629 students attend Aims, and the school noted in a press release Friday that 116 of those have received certificates and/or degrees related to health careers. Many who studied nursing then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado.

“The generous support from NCMC Inc. will now give us the ability to have their Promise scholarship follow them from Aims to UNC,” Julie Buderus, executive director of the Aims Community College Foundation, said in the release.

NCMC, Inc. is the nonprofit organization that owns and manages the assets of North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, and oversees the operating contract with Banner Health.
