Noble Energy announces pricing of stock offering

Noble Energy Inc. (NYSE: NBL) will launch a public offering of 21 million shares of common stock priced at $47.50 per share, the Houston-based company said Thursday.

Noble Energy, which drills oil and natural-gas wells in Weld County, will use proceeds from the offering to repay debt under the company’s credit facility and for other purposes.

The company will let underwriters of the offering buy an additional 3.15 million shares of common stock. The offering will close March 3.
