The public comment period on the supplemental draft and environmental impact statement on the Northern Integrated Supply Project, which would include the construction of a pair of new reservoirs in Northern Colorado, has been extended by 30 days.
The Greeley Tribune reports that the deadline on Tuesday was extended to Sept. 3, making the total comment period 75 days.
The EIS was released on June 19. The 1,500-page report details the controversial NISP project. NISP, if approved, would include the construction of Glade and Galeton reservoirs, which combined could store more than 215,000 acre-feet of water.
