NCMC, McKee named to HealthGrades excellence list

McKee Medical Center in Loveland and North Colorado Medical Center in Loveland have each been named a 2012 Distinguished Hospital for Clinical Excellence by HealthGrades.
HealthGrades, headquartered in Denver, is a provider of information about physicians and hospitals. Consumers use the information to research, select and connect with a physician or hospital and to make more informed health care decisions.
Being named to the 2012 Distinguished Hospital list places both McKee and NCMC among the top 5 percent of hospitals nationwide, according to a news release by Banner Health, parent company of McKee and NCMC.
This year marks the fourth consecutive year NCMC has been named to the list, and the second year in a row for McKee.
Only 263 hospitals nationwide are on this year’s list. HealthGrades evaluates each of the nation’s 5,000 non-federal hospitals in 26 procedures and diagnoses and allows individuals to compare their local hospitals online at www.healthgrades.com.
