NCEDC lured, retained 612 jobs in 2012

The Northern Colorado Economic Development Corp. says it helped to lure as well as retain a total of 612 jobs in 2012, compared with 449 in 2010.

The figures for 2011 were not tracked by the organization.

The average compensation for these jobs was $61,500, compared with the average Larimer County compensation of $55,000 in 2012.

WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

In addition, the 612 jobs helped support 447 secondary jobs with an average compensation of $34,200.

In total, this resulted in 1,059 primary and secondary created and retained jobs in Larimer County with an average annual compensation of $50,000, according to the NCEDC’s 2012 annual report.
