Moving Fort Collins Forward! 2012 in Full Swing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 14, 2012 Contact: Joe Anderson Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce (970) 482-3746 janderson@fcchamber.org Moving Fort Collins Forward! 2012 in Full Swing Fort Collins, Colo. – The Fort Collins Area Chamber launched it’s second annual Moving Fort Collins Forward! campaign, on September 7. The Moving Fort Collins Forward! 2012 campaign will provide the Fort Collins area with a properly funded chamber of commerce capable of accomplishing key initiatives in the community. The Chamber is dedicated to improving community infrastructure, keeping schools strong, sound public policy, and economic growth, all of which lead to a more successful and vibrate community. From now until November 15, over 50 volunteers on 9 teams are tasked with raising $325,000 for the Fort Collins Area Chamber of Commerce. To reach this goal, volunteers will be raising funds in four different ways which include special community initiatives, memberships, event sponsorships, and budget reductions trades. The special initiatives are two areas of emphasis during this campaign which include Job Creation and Friends of Business Public Policy Action, each of which encompass the Chamber’s main goals in 2013. The Campaign Co Chairs are David Everitt, Everitt Companies and Yvonne Myers, Columbine Health System. Joining them in the campaign are Campaign Vice Chairs: Curt Richardson, OtterBox; Bob Wilson, Columbine Health Systems; Mark Driscoll, First National Bank and Rulon Stacy, University of Colorado Health. Campaign teams include: Columbine Health System, Ed Carroll Motor Company / Dellenbach Motors / Tynan’s , EKS&H, First Bank, First National Bank, Poudre Valley Health System, Red Carpet Committee, Toolbox Creative and Wells Fargo. Additionally, OtterBox has committed to be the overall campaign sponsor for Moving Fort Collins Forward! 2012.
