McWhinney sells two apartment complexes for $105.3M
LOVELAND — Two apartment complexes in Loveland built by real estate developer McWhinney have been acquired for $105.3 million.
Illinois-based Inland Real Estate Group of Companies Inc. paid $60.75 million for the Lake Vista Apartments at 2235 Rocky Mountain Ave., and $44.5 million for the Greens at Van de Water at 2900 Mountain Lion Drive, according to public records.
“We are aware of economic conditions regularly and felt this was a good transaction for all parties at this time,” said Trae Rigby, McWhinney’s chief development office.

Loveland-based McWhinney built the 303-unit Lake Vista at Centerra luxury apartments near Equalizer Lake in 2011. The project cost $45 million and achieved LEED Silver certification under the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design for Homes.
McWhinney built the 252-unit Greens at Van de Water in 2011. It also achieved LEED Silver certification.
Both apartment complexes offer studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom units and upscale amenities.
The Inland Real Estate Group, which operates in 49 states, will manage both properties.
