Madwire will accept $2.9M state incentive package

LOVELAND – Madwire Media Inc. said Wednesday that it plans to accept a $2.9 million state tax incentive that will allow Madwire to expand in Loveland.

As part of the deal, Loveland-based Madwire will create an additional 300 Colorado jobs during the next five years.

“The generous tax incentive that the state has offered will help us continue to create jobs in Colorado and bring global revenue to the state,” Madwire spokeswoman Farra Lanzer said in a statement.

Madwire decided earlier this month to stay in Loveland and expand into space at the Rialto Theater Center.

The theater center was not a long-term solution for Madwire’s growth needs, but will allow the company to house an additional 135 positions by 2015.

The fast-growing internet marketing and services company had also been looking at space in the Rocky Mountain Center for Innovation and Technology as well as Austin, Texas.

“We’re delighted to see companies like Madwire Media continue to grow and thrive in Colorado,” Gov. John Hickenlooper said in the statement. “Today’s announcement of more than 300 jobs by Madwire, which continues to receive national accolades for their innovative business model, shows the strength of the talent and positive business climate across the state.”

Madwire is still working on a separate incentives package from the city of Loveland, Lanzer said.
