The 26,000-square-foot market at 700 Ken Pratt Blvd. in Parkway Center, expected to open in early 2013, is the second market for the Lucky’s brand. The first is a market and cafe that has been open in north Boulder for nearly a decade and recently added a bakehouse and creamery.
Blackfox Parkway Associates is renovating and renaming the center Parkway Promenade to accommodate a number of new retailers. Lucky’s will be the main anchor.
The market will feature natural foods and local products including locally grown produce and meats. The supermarket also will have a full-service liquor store.
“I am excited to bring our product, service and ethic to this community,” said Lucky’s owner Bo Sharon. “We recognize Longmont’s demand for quality locally-sourced foods and will be a one-stop shop for everything they need. Additionally, I am happy to be able to offer growth opportunities to my loyal staff of nearly a decade as this new store will create nearly 100 new jobs.”
