Loveland council OKs fee waivers for veteran-geared housing

The Loveland city council on Tuesday approved $1.25 million in fee waivers for a $19.7 million affordable housing project that will set aside some units for veterans.

The Reporter-Herald reports that the 70-unit complex is being proposed through the city’s Housing Authority and would be located on the site of the former Crystal Rapids water park on Boyd Lake Avenue.

Council voted 5-2 in favor of the waivers for the project, which would also target victims of the 2013 flood.
