The events give community members a chance to learn about the benefits of electric vehicles and even test drive electric cars from local dealerships.
The Longmont event will be held Sept. 20 from noon to 5 p.m. at the TinkerMill makerspace, 1840 Delaware Place. Verdi Sustainability Consultants, the city, the Longmont Area Economic Council, Plug In America, the Sierra Club and the Electric Auto Association are all sponsors of the event.
A press release for the Longmont event stated that Gebhardt BMW of Boulder, Valley Nissan of Longmont, Green Eyed Motors of Boulder, I-25 Ford of Dacono and King GM of Longmont will have cars available for ride-alongs and test drives at the event. That’s in addition to a Chevy Malibu converted to a hydrogen fuel cell hybrid from Colorado State University.
The Fort Collins event will be held in conjunction with the Sustainable Living Fair at Legacy Park on Sept. 21 from 3 to 5 p.m. The Boulder event will be held Sept. 17 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Boulder Farmer’s Market, 1720 13th St.
