Longmont developer starts apartments in Loveland

LOVELAND – Longmont-based Macy Development Co. has broken ground on a $30 million luxury-apartment development at the corner of South Taft Avenue and Southwest 16th Street in Loveland.

Bristol Pointe Apartment Homes is scheduled to open in spring 2015. The 220-unit project is being built on a 12-acre site in southwest Loveland.

It is designed by Loveland-based Kenney Lee Architecture Group, and it will feature sweeping views of the front range of the Rocky Mountains and be near several amenities and services in Loveland.

The project features 11 buildings, which will house 20 luxury units with seven different floor plans. All apartments will feature nine-foot high ceilings and range in size from 515 square feet to 1,300 square feet with options of studios to one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments.

The complex will have 85 detached, rentable garages and 338 open parking spaces, as well as a 4,800-square- foot clubhouse.

Next to the clubhouse is a combination relaxing, child-wading and lap-lane pool with a large deck for barbecuing and gathering. The clubhouse will include the leasing office, a great room for gathering, fitness center, cyber café, conference center and a media room.

Development of the project began in 2001, but was put on hold due to September 11. It was revived and redesigned in 2012.

Macy Development also owns The Legacy Apartments, a 436-unit complex in Longmont, managed by Team Asset Management Corp., a firm that has worked with Macy Development for 17 years. Team Asset Management will manage Bristol Pointe Apartment Homes.
