Local Sports Authority closures now just days away

After originally planning to shut down all stores by the end of August, Englewood-based retailer Sports Authority has moved up the closing dates for most stores, including locally, to this month, as discounted inventory liquidates faster than expected.

The Denver Post reports that the Sports Authority at Longmont’s Village at the Peaks shopping center is set to close for good on Sunday. That will be followed by a Monday closing for the Mini Castle location in Fort Collins and July 28 closures for the Fort Collins store at Front Range Village and the Boulder Sports Authority on 28th Street. Officials at the Greeley store could not be reached by the paper.

Correction: A previous version of this story incorrectly noted the closing date of the Fort Collins Front Range Village and Boulder stores. We regret the error.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties

One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.
