Lautzenheisers buy land for third Big O Tires store in Fort Collins

FORT COLLINS — Timberline Real Estate LLC has purchased property in the Timberline Center in Fort Collins where it plans to build a Big O Tires store.

Timberline Real Estate, an entity created by Jim Lautzenheiser and his father, Ron Lautzenheiser, purchased a little less than an acre of vacant land for $406,000 at 2007 Timberline Road from Timberline Star Center LLC, headed by Realtor Craig C. Hau and two unnamed partners. The Lautzenheisers operate Big O Tires franchises at 1506 N. College Ave. and 4245 S. Mason in Fort Collins.

Jim Lautzenheiser said Wednesday that the new 7,600-square-foot store will have eight bays. The store will provide complete auto maintenance services, including tires, brakes, alignments, oil changes and mechanical work.

Lautzenheiser said he expects to break ground on the new store April 25 and hopes to have it open by the end of September.

Ron Lautzenheiser is a former vice president of marketing for Big O Tires. The Lautzenheisers also operate Grease Monkey service centers in Fort Collins and Windsor.

Big O has more than 360 franchisee-owned and 40 corporate-owned stores in 19 states.

Hau, with Sperry Van Ness/The Group Commercial LLC, represented the sellers, and Aki Palmer and Jim Palmer of DTZ represented the buyer in the land sale.
