Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

The 2015 program was enhanced to provide businesses with one-on-one assistance to complete the application and implement sustainable business practices. The Green Business program is a collaborative effort of LESAC, the Lafayette Waste Reduction Advisory Committee, Boulder County Partners for a Clean Environment and Xcel Energy, and is funded in part by a Boulder County sustainability matching grant.

“The program was revised this year to allow businesses the opportunity to build upon their sustainability efforts and achieve escalating status levels annually,” said Curt Cheesman, Lafayette’s director of recreation and facilities management. “We’re proud to recognize the business leaders in our community who are striving towards sustainability.”

The 2015 participants will receive a window decal to publicize their standing as a Lafayette Green Business.  In addition to the recognition at the council meeting, applicants will attend an award ceremony, Dec. 3, with Mayor Christine Berg.
