Kodak will move some operations to Windsor

WINDSOR – Eastman Kodak Co. will relocate its thermal coating and finishing operations from Rochester, N.Y., to Windsor, reports the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle.

The operation employed 80 in Rochester, and it is unclear whether the employees will be laid off or transferred. Kodak said that Windsor is the better choice for the thermal coating operations because it has two coating machines, while Rochester only has one.

Kodak filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in January, and has since been looking for ways to cut costs and operate more efficiently.
