BizWest Energy Summit to tackle industry’s downturn

LOVELAND — Experts from industry, government and academia will discuss issues and trends in the energy sector during BizWest’s Energy Summit, to be held July 20 in Loveland.

The event, titled “Drilling Down: The Economic Impact of Declining Energy Prices,” will include panels that will offer an economic report card for Northern Colorado, analyze emerging mergers and acquisitions, look at transload facilities in the region and debate implications of public policy.

Brian Lewandowski, associate director of the business research division at the University of Colorado’s Leeds School of Business, and John Harpole, president of Mercator Energy, will examine Northern Colorado data on jobs, production and commodity trends.

The event will be held from 1 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch Event Complex, 5280 Arena Circle in Loveland. Tickets will be on sale online for $19.99 until July 13, then $24.99 until July 18. If still available, tickets can be purchased at the door for $29.99.
