Innosphere to open office in Denver

FORT COLLINS – Rocky Mountain Innosphere, a Fort Collins-based nonprofit technology incubator supporting startups in clean tech, digital health, biosciences and enterprise software, will launch an office at Denver, Innosphere officials announced today.

The facility at 3001 Brighton Blvd. in the RiNo (River North) arts district is located in a new 120,000-square-foot redevelopment project called Industry. The office, dubbed “Innosphere at Industry,” will complement an existing office at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Golden.

“A lot of the resources we’re connecting our people to are in the Denver-Boulder area,” said Innosphere chief executive Mike Freeman. “The NREL facility is focused on clean tech, and this one will aim for science- and technology-based startups in Denver and Boulder.”

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

Innosphere’s goal is to expand incubation services across the Front Range and into Denver in order to better support digital-health startups, Freeman said, including companies with software products that combine biosciences and health care such as the ones already located in the Industry complex. Innosphere also will recommend potential tenant companies to Industry, he said.

“We have a 15-year track record of supporting high-tech startups,” he said, “and we are excited to announce that we are bringing our successful incubation program to Industry to be closer to the Denver- and Boulder-based startups.”

Freeman has said that almost 90 percent of the startup companies that are part of Innosphere’s incubator survive at least five years.
