Ways to thank a caregiver

If you have a caregiver or know someone who has been serving as a primary caregiver, March 3rd is the day to reach out and show them how much they are valued!

“Having Inc. magazine and Stacey and some of the upgrades we have this year are kind of an awesome validation for what happened last year,” Chris Snook, organizing chair of FCSW, said Thursday.

FCSW drew more than 3,200 attendees from 16 states to its 54 sessions in its first year. Snook is planning for close to 100 sessions this year, and said he’ll be working aggressively over the next month to fill in the calendar in hopes of drawing at least 5,000 people.

Sessions will be held at various locations downtown. But Snook said FCSW this year will be much more centralized, with the Fort Collins Community Creative Center serving as a sort of home base.

“It will be the hub of where you go for some sessions but also where you go between sessions to get some work done, hang out and network,” Snook said.

Included among the week’s events will be the city of Fort Collins’ business appreciation breakfast on May 27. Also part of FCSW again will be the $250,000 CSU Blue Ocean Enterprise Challenge business pitch competition, with the final rounds on Friday and Saturday. The 16 startups competing in that competition are expected to be announced next month.

Snook said a couple of new wrinkles to the week’s festivities will be announced as they’re solidified in coming weeks.
