Identity-theft expert to address cybersecurity at event in Loveland

LOVELAND — Nationally recognized speaker John Sileo will deliver the keynote address at “Cybersecurity: Protecting Your Business While Building Trust with Your Customers,” a symposium on identity theft and cybersecurity that will include a panel discussion with industry experts.

The event, set for Nov. 1 at the Embassy Suites in Loveland, is for business owners, company management, employees who are responsible for billing and finances and students who will soon enter the workforce.
Attendees will learn about the ways cyber hacking happens and how employees to can be a company’s strongest defense in the fight against cybercrime.

Sileo’s identity was stolen by a business insider and used to embezzle $300,000 from his clients several years ago. The exposure destroyed his company and consumed two years as he fought to stay out of jail.
