Horse trainer plans new facility in Fort Collins
FORT COLLINS — Horse trainer Judi Stoddard has submitted plans to the city of Fort Collins requesting to annex land in Larimer County where she wants to construct a 24-stall barn and indoor performance arena.
Stoddard is leasing space on the 34-acre parcel at 4205 Strauss Cabin Road where she operates her J Bar S Performance Horses business. The property, known as Greenshire Stables, currently has older barns and agricultural buildings that Stoddard wants to replace.
After the property is annexed into the city of Fort Collins, Stoddard said she plans to buy it and build new facilities.

Solar Operations and Maintenance for Commercial Properties
One key qualification to consider when selecting a solar partner to install your system is whether they have an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) or service department. Since solar is a long-term asset with an expected lifecycle of 30 plus years, ongoing O&M should be considered up front. A trusted O&M partner will maximize your system’s energy output and therefor the return on your investment.
The barn would be approximately 18,000 square feet and have two stories — the ground level for horse stalls and the second level for a caretaker’s apartment and storage areas. The indoor arena would be about 20,000 square feet.
Stoddard pointed out that she is using the barn at Savanna Ridge Equestrian Center at 1632 North Overland Trail in Fort Collins as a model for this development.
