Home sales up in Weld, Larimer counties, down in Boulder

The number of homes and condominiums sold in Larimer and Weld counties was up slightly in October compared with September, but declined in Boulder County, according to a report released Thursday by Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage based on statistics compiled by the Multiple Listing Service.

The number of sales in Boulder County declined from 378 in September to 371 in October, a 1.9 percent drop.

Sales in Weld and Larimer counties increased from 1,083 in September to 1,090 in October, a 0.6 percent increase. The report did not breakout those two counties.

For the first 10 months of the year, sales in Boulder County were down 7.1 percent, from 4,234 last year to 3,928 this year, but were up 3.8 percent for the year in Larimer and Weld, from 9,642 last year to 10,009.

The number of homes on the market in Boulder County declined 10.3 percent from 1,179 in September to 1,179 in October. In Larimer and Weld counties, inventory dropped 7.1 percent, from 3,554 homes in September to 3,300 in October.

Median sale price in Boulder County declined from September to October from $352,000 to $343,000. A year ago, the median price was $356,000. In Weld and Larimer counties, median sale price increased from $250,000 to $251,000. A year ago, the median price was $223,000.
