WomenGive, a program of United Way of Larimer County, was started in Larimer County in 2006 as an opportunity for women in our community to come together to help other women.

“We’re one of the smallest cities in the world running this program with one of the highest per capita attendance,” Boulder Green Streets’ executive director Hillary Griffith said in a prepared statement. “This is a time for the city of Boulder to test ideas and solutions for the community with regard to streets and open space. I’m always excited to see what surprises the community comes up with,”

Members of the public will be able to enjoy massages and free health consultations at the Health and Wellness Pavilion. There will be kids’ safety games and a fire station open house. Participants are welcome to a free breakfast provided by Zona Latina at 10 a.m., and there will be live music. All of the pavilions include zero-waste stations to encourage recycling and reusing materials.

The East Pearl Activity Center will feature a free climbing wall and martial arts demonstrations. There will be more than 40 vendors offering free organic food and beverage samples including dairy-free options at the Organic Alley Pavilion.

The North Boulder Recreation Center will be free and open to the public. The Let’s Move zone includes a gymnastics obstacle course, dance classes, fitness classes, a tennis clinic and health screenings.

The presenting sponsor is the city of Boulder, including subsidiaries Parks and Recreation, GO Boulder and Parking Services. Gold event sponsors include Dr. Bronner’s, Nissan, Elevations Credit Union and Foundation Health. Silver event sponsors include Steaz, Americas Best Organics, I and Love and You, OHCO, Taste of Nature, Naked Juice, Uber, EcoCycle and Elephant Journal.

Contributing sponsors include B-cycle, Community Cycles, YMCA, Eldorado Water Company, eGO Car Share, Boulder Weekly, Boulder Housing Partners, CorePower Yoga and Chinook Book.
