Greenwood Village firm wins contract to provide concessions at RMNP

ESTES PARK — Greenwood Village-based Xanterra Parks & Resorts Inc. has been awarded a 10-year contract from the National Park Service to provide concessions at Rocky Mountain National Park.

The contract begins in January and allows Xanterra to provide retail, food and beverage services at Rocky Mountain National Park’s Trail Ridge Store. The store is located at an elevation of 12,000 feet at the mid-way point of Trail Ridge Road – a scenic “highway in the sky” in the heart of Rocky Mountain National Park.

“Xanterra has a strong partnership with the National Park Service and is looking forward to providing the finest merchandise at the Trail Ridge Store, including a variety of local items and a new menu with locally sourced and sustainable food and beverages,” said Andrew Todd, chief executive of Xanterra Parks & Resorts. “We’re also excited to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change at Rocky Mountain National Park through a variety of guest interactions, educating guests on how they can have a softer footprint on the environment during their visit to the Park and after they return home.”
