Golden-based Centerline Solutions acquires Boulder Technology

BOULDER — Golden-based Centerline Solutions LLC has acquired Boulder Technology LLC, a software design and development firm based in Boulder.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but all of Boulder Technology’s intellectual property for internal systems and emerging SaaS products has been transferred to Centerline Solutions, said Bill O’Toole, who founded Boulder Technology in 2006 to provide startups and young businesses with a resource for advanced software development and information-technology services.

Centerline provides wireless infrastructure services to the telecommunications industry. The acquisition gives Centerline an in-house team to meet the evolving software needs for complex wireless projects.

Empowering communities

Rocky Mountain Health Plans (RMHP), part of the UnitedHealthcare family, has pledged its commitment to uplift these communities through substantial investments in organizations addressing the distinct needs of our communities.

The two companies collaborated over the past five years to develop Centerline Solutions’ Enterprise Resource Planning solution, Centerpath, which serves as the foundation of Centerline’s workflow planning for projects, resource planning and business operations oversight.

“This is an outstanding fit both in terms of culture and in terms of our shared vision for how software is transforming the wireless landscape,” O’Toole said.

Boulder Technology’s 12 employees will join Centerline Solutions. A four-person team including O’Toole will shift their work location from Boulder to Centerline Solutions’ headquarters in Golden, and eight other employees working in New York and Florida will become Centerline employees and continue to work from their current locations.

Ben Little, CEO of Centerline Solutions, said the addition of Boulder Technology’s team provides “expertise” in software development and helps broaden Centerline’s services.

“The work we do for clients today has so many facets to it,” Little said. “Software development is something that is supporting our company’s success and piquing the interest of more and more companies we work with.”

Centerline has 400 staffers at offices in Golden, Seattle, Portland, Ore.; Olympia, Wash., Phoenix, Rochester, N.Y., Tampa, Fla., Atlanta and Honolulu.
