Gino Campana to run for Fort Collins City Council

FORT COLLINS — Gino Campana, a member of the Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board, announced his candidacy Tuesday for City Council serving District 3.

Campana owns a small business, Bellisimo, in Fort Collins and is a graduate of CSU.

He has served on a variety of boards and commissions, including the city’s Oil and Gas Advisory Committee and the Historic Preservation Code Improvement Committee.

District 3 is now represented by Aislinn Kottwitz, who was first elected in 2009.

The District 3 seat is one of three seats that will be on the ballot in the the April 2 city election.

Last month, past mayoral candidate Ross Cunniff announced his candidacy for the District 5 seat. Vying for the District 1 seat are M.L. Johnson, Bob Overbeck and Bryan Payne.
