Gas prices keep on climbing

The average price of a gallon of gas jumped 6 cents in Fort Collins and 3 cents in Greeley since last Wednesday, according to AAA.

Gas prices increased to $3.85 in Fort Collins and $3.84 in Greeley, AAA said. By comparison, gas cost $3.55 in Fort Collins and $3.58 in Greeley this time last year.

Northern Colorado gas prices on Wednesday hovered below the state average of $3.87 and the nationwide average of $3.91. At $4.18 per gallon, gas prices in Vail remained the highest in the state of the locations tracked by AAA.
