Fort Collins, Greeley gas prices drop slightly

Gas prices in Fort Collins and Greeley continued their steady decline for the third consecutive week, according to AAA.

Fort Collins gas prices on Wednesday dropped to $3.78 from $3.82 last week, AAA said. The average price of a gallon of gas in Greeley cost $3.76, down from $3.81 last Wednesday.

Gas prices in most other places in the state remained higher than in Northern Colorado. The average gallon of gas cost $3.80 in Denver and Colorado Springs and $3.81 in Boulder and Longmont.

At $4.17 per gallon, gas prices in Vail and Glenwood Springs were the highest in the state for locations tracked by AAA.

Northern Colorado gas prices remained higher than during the same time last year, when the average gallon of gas in Greeley cost $3.72 last May and $3.70 in Fort Collins.
