Fort Collins-based Tolmar holding job fair for 50 positions in Loveland, Windsor

FORT COLLINS – A Fort Collins-based pharmaceutical company plans to add more than 50 full-time positions at its facilities in Loveland and Windsor, and will hold a job fair on Thursday to fill them.

Tolmar Inc., which develops and manufactures a line of drugs focused on dermatology, oncology and specialty injectable therapeutic areas, has scheduled the hiring event for 2 to 7 p.m. May 14 at the Hilton Fort Collins, 425 W. Prospect Road. The event’s organizers have requested that job-seekers bring several copies of their resumes.

The positions to be filled include entry-level openings in manufacturing, quality assurance, production and facility maintenance, science and quality control.

Ways to thank a caregiver

“The goal of this event is to attract people with experience in a manufacturing environment, but we also have opportunities available for those with limited experience and looking to transition into an industry with a track record of stability and a promising future,” said Robyn Vilkaitis, Tolmar’s vice president for human resources.

Tolmar recently secured additional warehouse space in Loveland and anticipates further staffing needs in 2016 and beyond,” Vilkaitis said. Future support will be needed for the development and commercial manufacturing activities at Tolmar’s largest facility in Windsor, she added.

“Our Windsor location will more than double our manufacturing capacity,” she said, “and this will mean additional hiring later on as we continue to develop new products and work through the (Food and Drug Administration) approval process.”

Vilkaitis said the company offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) match, paid time off and a paid-holiday shutdown period.

Tolmar currently employs about 500 people between its offices in suburban Chicago and its headquarters, product-development and manufacturing facilities in northern Colorado. Among its products is Eligard, used for the palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer.

Concurrent with the job fair, Tolmar chief financial officer Dave Speights will be at technology-startup Innosphere, 320 E. Vine Drive in Fort Collins, attending a pharmaceutical-themed “after-hours” event hosted by the Northern Colorado Bioscience Cluster. He will be part of a panel discussing the challenges and opportunities that pharmaceutical service providers face when moving innovations forward.
