Foreclosure sales down in February

Foreclosure sales were down in February across the region, according to the latest data from the Colorado Division of Housing.

In Larimer County, foreclosure sales decreased 4.7 percent from 64 to 61 year-over-year in February. Weld County saw a drop of 18.3 percent from 109 to 89 in the same period.

Foreclosure filings were mixed in the region, with the number increasing by 12.6 percent in Larimer County from 103 to 116 year-over-year in February. The number of filings decreased in Weld County by 17.4 percent from 132 to 109 in the same period.

Statewide, foreclosure filings increased by 3.5 percent from 1,986 to 2,056 and foreclosure sales decreased by 6.7 percent from 1,338 to 1,248 year-over-year in February.
