Foothills United Way’s Day of Caring slated for Sept. 9

BOULDER — Foothills United Way, which serves Boulder and Broomfield counties, will hold its 22nd annual Day of Caring volunteer event Sept. 9.

More than 30 businesses and community groups are signed up to participate in this year’s event, working on more than 60 projects across the two counties such as landscaping, painting, harvesting and building.

The day will include working on volunteer projects from 8 a.m. to noon, followed by a picnic for volunteers at Gateway Park, 4800 N. 28th St., in Boulder.

Volunteers for last year’s Day of Caring contributed 3,780 hours of their time, with an economic value of $94,870.
