Flaherty takes executive reins of bar associations

DENVER — Patrick Flaherty has been named executive director of the Colorado and Denver bar associations.

He will take over on Jan. 1 from current executive director Chuck Turner who is stepping down after 34 years.

Flaherty was most recently director of Policy Advocacy Programs at the Gill Foundation, where he served for nine years. Prior to that, he was executive director of the nonprofit Project Angel Heart.
